Do you dare to chase after your dream?

It is now 1230pm on a Sat and I had just waken.

Went for a movie with Timq and Eileen last night, "The Legion".

Talking about Legion, it is a weird show to me. I don't understand why.

Anyway, before that I went for cellgroup, after fellowship which is around mmmm, 9.30pm seow shi and I went over to bishan to meet timq and took his car to batok to fetch seow ting, saw joshua too on the way and den went back to meet eileen at 2nd best after sending seow shi and seow ting back.

so in the car, happen that seow ting was talking about this person

and so I decided to search on him thru youtube and there you go...

Stan Walker, Aust Idol.

He encourages thru his vocal and all.

You will understand me when you watch his videos.

A person who loves God.

A person who shines in the market place.

A person who dares to tell the world God is real.

Amazing.

Chase after your dream because you never know who will you encourage and move, just like how he encourages me.

Overseas Trip

anyway, today went to the orphanage to have a Christmas party with the kids and I got to say I enjoy myself even just by looking at them.

and got to say that even by making children happy, it makes you happy too.

You know,

when you are at the age of 20's, life isn't just about clubbing, dancing, drinking, partying or even smoking.

sometimes when you go to such nice places is also a fun thing, touching and changing people's life.

you got to try it out then you will realise that. ;)

I'm going out later with my family for a dinner,

quite sometime since I done that!

I'm going to a orphanage tomorrow to perform a dance item for the first time and I really hope it will goes well and all the children there will enjoy it.

did went to a orphanage before and have such a nice sweet memories.

It is one of my wish since when I'm in seconday school to go to a orphanage!

It is really a privilege for me to go there and I'm seriously very thankful that I get such a chance.

I will try my best to put a smile on their cute faces.

Sometimes in our eyes, we looked at people in different views and group them.

Had my practical test the whole of today and yesterday theory, got back my results.

Although I am feeling so tired physcially but I don't know why I'm so excited now.

Hope that this feeling will never go away.

Christmas is coming, thank God for his arrangement for my duties in camp so that I'm able to enjoy the max for svc and etc.

Christmas is so special and meaningful and I hope my family can go for service this year,

and every year I will ask them for service till the day they meet Jesus face to face.

as promised I will now tell you guys a story I read, maybe you guys read it before and I'm sure you will agree with me it is a nice story.

A young man and his father.

The story goes like this...

A young man was getting ready to graduate college and for many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a leader's showroom. Knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As graduation day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son and told him how much he loved him. he handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curiously, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him.

He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father has passed away, and willed all his possessions to his son.
He needed to come hom eimmediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.
He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the bible.

It had tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer's who had the sports car he had desired/
On the tag was the date of his graduation
and the words... PAID IN FULL.

Question is
How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Camp I believe

It is so true that every dream, either is it your dream or is it God's given dream in your life will come to pass if you decides to persist and hold on.

There are so many factors that will stop you from your dream.

fear.

the many discouragement your peers or family members spoke to you that went right thru into your heart that hurt you so deeply

and you become fearful for failures to go after your dream.

or even indifference.

the dream that God set in your heart turns so cold and far from you when time passes.

You become not interested or distracted.

but

honestly, we can't deny how we try to hide that dream for God, how many times we try to convince ourselves that it is not real.

He always has a way to revive it.

a way to tell us.

"Do you still remember the dream I put it into your heart, from the first day you were born I given you this dream..."

a little background on his childhood

He was abandoned by his parents on the age of seven, forced to live on the streets.

Every single day he got to hunt for food so that he wouldn't starve and often went to sleep with nothing in his stomach.

He gets burned with cigarettes and whipped with a belt by a gang if he didnt sell enough dumplings on the street.

Waking up in every morning with nothing to look forward to- no family, no love, no dreams and no hope.

He was only a child and did not want to live.

Some questions came into my mind.

What will you do if you were him?
what will you do if you have a friend like him?

at seven, his parents left him on the streets and disappeared.

The grandmaster, Kru Yodtong rescued him and brought him to the sityodtong gym and treated him like a son from the very first day, giving him food, place to live in.

when you meet people's need, you give them hope.

He never ever considered becoming a professional muay thai fighter or even dream of it.

But He trained very hard everyday because he felt that he owed his life to kru.

people in the gym motivates him, giving him hope, love and courage.

and a reason to live, trained together, ate together, lived dream together.

what I want to say is it is ok to dream big and it will come to pass when you work hard for it,

just like him he never thought of becoming someone that great but he train very hard and eventually he did it.

so I really believe you can do anything that you set your heart on to.

3 points you gotta remember to becoming someone great.

love what you are doing. ignore your fears and doubts and you will see magic appear in your life.
be delusional. this give you the will to work hard.
surround yourself with winners. these people will push you to your limits.

Family weekend

just came out of camp not long, reached home, preparing to go for the family weekend "world breakaway"

(it is describing the feeling, feeling of the freezing of time where everything stops and you can play and do whatever you wish there, a fantasy, a wonderland;)

COOKING COURSE
Lesson 1: Cream of mushroom, Spaghetti, Noodles, Macaroni, Tomato sauce, Hamburger steak.

Cooking is not as easy as I thought it is.
Everytime I just get the instant kind and put into the oven, press a few buttons and "DING!" it is edible.

Doing everything right from the start with all the strange looking food, the raw meat and stuff.
All thanks to our chef, today I learn something more than the usual.

we are so excited and play with all the cutting of mushrooms, the power of onions which made some of us teared...

but overall I say I learn something.

today had quite a good exp, acting as a assistant for my boss.
She taught me alot of things about doing an event.

Friday is fabulous!

Reached home @8am, met hans for some work out in the gym around 12pm till 3pm...play L4D at safra country club, went home to change and go for my sister's birthday.

reached home around 9.30pm to do song sheet and some researching on overseas trip stuff. sister took some photos.

Went fairprice to get some decor for my room and also table tennis, pingpong balls... decided to learn how to play! and also some table board games. Boardgames is a good way to improve family relations.

8 teens made suicide pact, 2 die after jumping nine storeys down

SINGAPORE:
Two boys who jumped nine storeys to their death in August last year did it because they were convinced that they could come back to life with the ability to slay demons and save the world.

The tragic incident took place at Blk 667, Jalan Damai in the wee hours of 23 August. The Coroner's Court heard on Monday that Ku Witaya and Sia Chan Hong, who were classmates at Tampines Secondary School, had planned a suicide pact with six other friends.

The eight friends were between 13 and 18 years old.

But one person reportedly backed out of the plan and five others ran away after seeing their friends fall to their death.

My Dream Car for now, Toyota Rush Car

seriously, I never fancy over cars, wheels, steering wheel, metal parts, chairs, leather chairs, the doors, petrol, lights and etc. HAHAH...

but nowadays my neighourhood seem to have quite a number of toyota rush and every single time when it passes by me, I will droop but honestly only this one.

I want to get one of that in my near future!

Massive Jam in BKE last night

yesterday in camp, what a tiring night.
being a junior we got to do all the "shit" jobs which means the dirty job, making us drop dead once we had some time to rest.

for their 2.4km, timing below 9.43mins.

we were taught to train for a normal 400m running track, at sport complex usually.
per 400m, sprinting time must be below 1.30mins.

next rest for 3mins. (if better rest for 2mins or lesser but 1.3min is good enough.)

den continue to sprint per run 1.3omins again.
den rest for 3mins.

do this 1.3 sprint, 3 rest for 8 sets
i believe you can improve your 2.4km run timing.

at first mine is 9.45mins,
i do it once, it improve by 10seconds, 9,35mins.

Hangover on wed
we had a nights out on wed (nights out= a few hours outside camp to just have fun and relax)
so me and my bunkmates decided to watch the hangover.

it is really a very nice movie, i have not watch such a interesting, thrilling movie for so long.
it kept me in suspense for the whole 100mins!

You guys should go watch, i dont even mind watching it again and again and again.
